When Ubisoft first announced Far Cry 5 it got a mixed reception from the gaming audience. People thought Ubisoft was trying to send a message about the state of The United States and religion, prompting some outrage and even a petition to change the theme of the game. I personally love the focus on radical Christianity, it is finally something different than the typical far away foreign lands of the past Far Cry games. Set in a small Montana County we find ourselves playing as a small group of resistance fighters against a religious zealot cult.

With the controversy building on Far Cry 5, Ubisoft smartly put that aside and showed off a stylish, upbeat and wacky trailer that not only fit perfectly everything American, but also gave a great introduction on what to expect for some of the core gameplay mechanics.

Far Cry 5 is set to release on Xbox, Playstation and PC February 27th, 2017.
